Dr. Stanislav Vyrva (known as Dr. Stas) received his veterinary degree from Kharkov Veterinary Academy, Ukraine in 1991.

He has over 30 years of experience as a wildlife and small animal veterinarian, including more than 17 years in the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Stanislav is meticulous in his work and a perfectionist in all of his endeavors. He is a veterinary surgeon with a specialization in neuro- and orthopedic surgery and has many international courses under his belt in addition to advanced training in veterinary MRI, CT-Scan, and Endoscopy. He also has a special interest in exotic pets and birds.

Dr. Branislav Stojanov graduated from the faculty of the veterinary medicine University of Belgrade, Serbia in 2001.

He accumulated over 12 years of experience as a small animal veterinarian at a veterinary hospital in Novi Sad, Serbia, before joining Zabeel Veterinary Hospital. He is well trained to perform CT and MRI exams and has a special interest in the fields of pet dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Stojanov has attended many international and local seminars and workshops as part of his continued professional education. He is a Member of ESVD (European Society of Veterinary Dermatology), SASAP (Serbian Association of Small Animal Practitioners), and the Veterinary Chamber of Serbia. Dr. Branislav enjoys swimming, water polo, hiking, reading novels, and spending time with his gorgeous family and rescue cat.

Dr Jose from Portugal and graduated from Evora University in 2007. With a diverse international career, he has gained professional experience in several countries, including Portugal, the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Egypt, Turkey, and Angola. Since 2018, he has been working in Dubai.

In addition to his educational background, he holds valuable certifications. He is a member of RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) and possess a GP certificate in soft tissue and orthopedics from Improve International.

Outside of work, He enjoys exploring different parts of the world through travel, and he also maintains an active lifestyle by participating in various sports activities during his free time.

Dr. Silke Pfitzer graduated from the veterinary faculty of the Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich, Germany in 1997.

She soon afterward relocated to South Africa, where she pursued her interest in African wildlife. She worked as a wildlife veterinarian for 20 years and was involved in the breeding, capture, research, and translocation of most wildlife species in intensive as well as extensive environments. Among Silke's professional highlights were translocations of bull elephants, predator population management on large reserves, and escorting a marine shipment of 120 wild animals to Dubai. She enjoys educating herself further and earned an MSc in Veterinary Tropical Diseases, a South African specialization in wildlife (MMed Vet (Fer)), and a Ph.D. on opioid immobilization in African antelope species.

Jay Gonzales acquired his Veterinary Degree in the Philippines in 2008.

He started working in his small animal clinic for 1 year before moving to Dubai in 2009. He worked as a Pet Groomer in Dubai for three years before joining Zabeel Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary nurse in 2012. He was then given the opportunity to join the imaging team and trained to help the veterinarians that operate the CT and MRI devices for small animals. Jay is an animal lover who has a cat, a dog, and a fish. He enjoys swimming, running, cycling and photography in his spare time. Jay believes that “if you chose a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life.”

Kareen Tila is a Philippine registered Veterinarian, graduated from Benguet State University, Philippines in 2002.

Following graduation, Kareen worked for Pfizer in the Philippines as an accredited veterinarian in the livestock industry. She also worked for 6 years in a small animal clinic while completing her Master's Degree in Public Health. In London, UK, where she worked for 6 years, she gained expertise and experience in dog training and behavior, as well as grooming dogs according to breed standards. Kareen joined Zabeel Veterinary Hospital in 2014 with 12 years of experience and has been fortunate to also have acquired training in CT and MRI scanning, assisting doctors in these advanced imaging procedures.

Noli Cabrera studied Doctor of Veterinary medicine and graduated from De La Salle Araneta University, the Philippines in 2008.

He went on to work for the Philippine government in Foreign Assisted Projects after graduating. He worked with livestock, assisting local farmers with herd health. He subsequently relocated to the UAE, where he worked for 5 years at Sharjah Equine Hospital until joining Zabeel Veterinary Hospital in June 2019. He chose veterinary medicine because he wanted to help sick animals and believes that they require proper care.

Melody Abella, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the Philippines, graduated from Isabela State University in 2016.

She worked as a veterinarian at private clinics in the Philippines for three years after graduating before moving to Dubai. During her college years, she was interested in community initiatives such as vaccination and animal fostering. She relocated to Dubai in 2018 and was allowed to continue working with a private clinic for another three years. She now works as a veterinary nurse at Zabeel Veterinary Hospital, where she shares her love and passion for animals. She enjoys reading books and taking online classes.

Mark Bogabil has always had a passion working as a Pet Groomer, his love for animals has been life-long and stems from his childhood in the Philippines. He completed a course in Pet Grooming and worked in the animal care industry for 10 years in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. He is an accomplished pet stylist and is creative with Pet Grooming, Styling & Trimming.

Aside from his passion in pet grooming, he enjoys playing basketball and skateboarding in his free time. Mark believes that there is always something new to learn in the grooming industry and strives to learn new ways to keep pets happy and healthy.

Dr. Anna Latysheva graduated with distinction from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Russia in 2010. Her expertise lies in endocrinology, internal medicine, and visual diagnostics. She is also a proud member of ESVE (European Society of Veterinary Endocrinology). With over a decade of experience, she has been a valuable contributor to one of the largest referral veterinary hospitals in Russia. Throughout her career, Dr. Anna has authored numerous publications in the field of veterinary endocrinology and has actively participated in an international study on ECVIM for Addison's Disease in feline patients. Notably, she pioneered the introduction of a method for continuous glucose monitoring in diabetic patients using a flash glucose monitoring device, marking a significant advancement in the Russian Federation. Furthermore, she regularly engages in various international congresses and conferences as both a speaker and a diligent listener. Apart from her professional achievements, Dr. Anna finds joy in traveling, diving, and spending quality time with her cherished family and friends.

Mohammed Nurul Alam, our dedicated pet groomer, whose journey in canine care began as a dog handler in Dubai in 2010. With an unwavering love for dogs, he spent his spare time providing baths, nail clipping, and attentive ear cleaning. In 2013, an exciting opportunity led him to become an assistant groomer, where he quickly fell in love with grooming as a form of pet fashion. This passion propelled him to the role of a groomer in 2015 at a prestigious veterinary clinic, a significant achievement that extended his expertise to include grooming not only dogs but cats as well. Mohammed finds joy in working with diverse pets, appreciating their unique personalities. Beyond aesthetics, he has explored into the medical side of pet grooming, addressing special needs with care. His goal is to prioritize the well-being of every pet, delivering desired styles for clients. Mohammed's commitment is to make each grooming experience positive and enjoyable for both pets and their owners.

Jan Michael is a Philippine-registered veterinarian with over 13 years of experience in veterinary medicine. He earned his Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree from the Visayas State University in the Philippines and passed the licensure exam in 2012. He served as a veterinarian in the Philippines for 3 years before moving to Dubai. Prior to joining Zabeel Veterinary Hospital, Jan Michael served as a vet nurse and technician with a private clinic in Dubai for 7 years. Jan Michael is passionate about animals and loves taking care of them.

Stephanie Nera, a graduate in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Isabela State University and a board passer of Veterinary Licensure Examination in the Philippines in the year 2019. Before moving in to Dubai this year (2024), she worked as a veterinarian in private clinics and hospitals in the Philippines for almost 5 years. She also did veterinary home services and low cost spay and neuter to help reduce the population of stray dogs and cats in their community. She's an animal lover but more of a cat lover with a total of 11 cats at home. Now, she is happy to be part of the Zabeel team as a Veterinary Nurse and showcase her knowledge and experience to help the patients in need. Apart from that, she also loves singing and dancing.

Ina Faye Tripole, graduate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Visayas State University, she passed the board exam on year 2023. In the Philippines, she worked as Veterinary Nurse for a year and immediately practiced as a Veterinarian right after acquiring her license. At the same year she moved to UAE to broaden her experience in the veterinary field. She previously worked at a clinic in Sharjah and is now a part of the excellent team at Zabeel Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinary Nurse.
