Apply NowDr. Stanislav Vyrva (known as Dr. Stas) received his veterinary degree from Kharkov Veterinary Academy, Ukraine in 1991.
He has over 30 years of experience as a wildlife and small animal veterinarian, including more than 17 years in the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Stanislav is meticulous in his work and a perfectionist in all of his endeavors. He is a veterinary surgeon with a specialization in neuro- and orthopedic surgery and has many international courses under his belt in addition to advanced training in veterinary MRI, CT-Scan, and Endoscopy. He also has a special interest in exotic pets and birds.
Dr. Branislav Stojanov graduated from the faculty of the veterinary medicine University of Belgrade, Serbia in 2001.
He accumulated over 12 years of experience as a small animal veterinarian at a veterinary hospital in Novi Sad, Serbia, before joining Zabeel Veterinary Hospital. He is well trained to perform CT and MRI exams and has a special interest in the fields of pet dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Stojanov has attended many international and local seminars and workshops as part of his continued professional education. He is a Member of ESVD (European Society of Veterinary Dermatology), SASAP (Serbian Association of Small Animal Practitioners), and the Veterinary Chamber of Serbia. Dr. Branislav enjoys swimming, water polo, hiking, reading novels, and spending time with his gorgeous family and rescue cat.
Dr Elizaveta Ivanova graduated from St. Petersburg State Academy of Veterinary medicine, Russia in 2009.
She has 13 years of experience in small animal internal medicine. She has a special interest in endocrinology, internal medicine, and infectious diseases. She was working in one of the biggest clinic in Russia, St. Petersburg "DuoCor". In addition, she is a member of the European Society of Veterinary Endocrinology (ESVE). Along with that, she has participated as a lecturer in many Russian veterinary conferences. . In her spare time, she likes to do cycling, swimming and enjoys reading books.
Dr. Silke Pfitzer graduated from the veterinary faculty of the Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich, Germany in 1997.
She soon afterward relocated to South Africa, where she pursued her interest in African wildlife. She worked as a wildlife veterinarian for 20 years and was involved in the breeding, capture, research, and translocation of most wildlife species in intensive as well as extensive environments. Among Silke's professional highlights were translocations of bull elephants, predator population management on large reserves, and escorting a marine shipment of 120 wild animals to Dubai. She enjoys educating herself further and earned an MSc in Veterinary Tropical Diseases, a South African specialization in wildlife (MMed Vet (Fer)), and a Ph.D. on opioid immobilization in African antelope species.
Oleksandr Vyrva graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Lugansk National Agrarian University, Ukraine in 2018.
He subsequently acquired a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2019. His thesis dealt with "Comparative characteristics of various methods of Osteosynthesis in small domestic animals''. He received training in using CT and MRI software and hardware. Oleksandr joined the Zabeel Veterinary Hospital team as an Intern Veterinarian in 2021. In his spare time, he enjoys diving, video editing, songwriting, and playing the guitar.
Jay Gonzales acquired his Veterinary Degree in the Philippines in 2008.
He started working in his small animal clinic for 1 year before moving to Dubai in 2009. He worked as a Pet Groomer in Dubai for three years before joining Zabeel Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary nurse in 2012. He was then given the opportunity to join the imaging team and trained to help the veterinarians that operate the CT and MRI devices for small animals. Jay is an animal lover who has a cat, a dog, and a fish. He enjoys swimming, running, cycling and photography in his spare time. Jay believes that “if you chose a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life.”
Kareen Tila is a Philippine registered Veterinarian, graduated from Benguet State University, Philippines in 2002.
Following graduation, Kareen worked for Pfizer in the Philippines as an accredited veterinarian in the livestock industry. She also worked for 6 years in a small animal clinic while completing her Master's Degree in Public Health. In London, UK, where she worked for 6 years, she gained expertise and experience in dog training and behavior, as well as grooming dogs according to breed standards. Kareen joined Zabeel Veterinary Hospital in 2014 with 12 years of experience and has been fortunate to also have acquired training in CT and MRI scanning, assisting doctors in these advanced imaging procedures.
Noli Cabrera studied Doctor of Veterinary medicine and graduated from De La Salle Araneta University, the Philippines in 2008.
He went on to work for the Philippine government in Foreign Assisted Projects after graduating. He worked with livestock, assisting local farmers with herd health. He subsequently relocated to the UAE, where he worked for 5 years at Sharjah Equine Hospital until joining Zabeel Veterinary Hospital in June 2019. He chose veterinary medicine because he wanted to help sick animals and believes that they require proper care.
Melody Abella, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the Philippines, graduated from Isabela State University in 2016.
She worked as a veterinarian at private clinics in the Philippines for three years after graduating before moving to Dubai. During her college years, she was interested in community initiatives such as vaccination and animal fostering. She relocated to Dubai in 2018 and was allowed to continue working with a private clinic for another three years. She now works as a veterinary nurse at Zabeel Veterinary Hospital, where she shares her love and passion for animals. She enjoys reading books and taking online classes.
Mark Bogabil has always had a passion working as a Pet Groomer, his love for animals has been life-long and stems from his childhood in the Philippines. He completed a course in Pet Grooming and worked in the animal care industry for 10 years in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. He is an accomplished pet stylist and is creative with Pet Grooming, Styling & Trimming.
Aside from his passion in pet grooming, he enjoys playing basketball and skateboarding in his free time. Mark believes that there is always something new to learn in the grooming industry and strives to learn new ways to keep pets happy and healthy.
